About IOW
IOW Pty Ltd ("Internet Our Way") was established in 1999 as a company specializing in delivering solutions over IP (Internet Protocol). Since then TCP/IP has emerged as the most common protocol, not only for the Internet but also for the LAN (local area network). Businesses are, almost without exception, connected to the Internet. In many cases businesses are now becoming decentralized and requiring access to their systems from home, overseas or mobile.
Our company has developed applications, design and build large networks and, of course, provided a full range of Internet solutions. Our senior technicians have been working with us since the mid-1990's and most of them already had more than a decade of experience even then. Our skills extend form UNIX to Microsoft and Server to Desktop. We remember when Microsoft's PC Operating Systems did not even have a GUI (Graphic User Interface - "Windows") and a 10 MB (yes Megabyte) hard drive meant you paid a fortune for your UNIX Server!
Over the years we have helped many businesses, both small and large, with their network requirements. Our skills in security, networking, remote connectivity, routing, switching and serving allow us to be very confident in our skills and ability.
Recently we realized that the paradigm for IT service providers worked against the interest of their customer's. Like an Accountant that tells you in December that you should have made changes last April to avoid a tax issue or most IT consultants tell you after you loose your data that you should have put in a better backup! In fact if you are only paid when you have to solve a problem why do you want to solve all the problems?
